Imperfectionist promises to stand by its ideals, no matter how much they change.
And in a world where change is the only constant this could be a wise policy. Not that we can't see absolutes, things we have to bear everyday. War, tax, daytime television... all continue to fascinate and disgust us at the same time, but the ability to comprehend the complex world and adjust to it is really where its at.
Difficult to avoid being a hypocrite in a world where you can’t help but burn fossil fuels, gossip about football players and their wives and enjoy fatty foods, but we believe you should at least try.
The effect of bearing this pressure from both ends is what interests Imperfectionist the most. The poisoned chalice, the gift and the curse, binary opposition, the uncomfortable impact of the diametrically opposed… this is what really drives us.
We’re really trying to be good, really we are. It just seems like so much fun not to be.
